After, 15+ hours of on and off work...150+ layers later, I've finally completed another vector piece. I used photoshop.. (I know, it's a raster program) but every single shape is made with the pen tool (ie photoshop's vector tool). Besides, everything's raster once it's saved for the web anyways... =)

The reference pic provided by ~bonafyde was used to create the model/vector (which is also infact her photo which she took a few days prior), while everything else was just purely fabricated by myself... with one or two of my own photos of cherry blossoms as quick reference, ... oh.. and

Whah, so much work, so many layers.
It all paid off though, that's for sure and a half.

The girl looks great, although I'm not sure about her arm, seems a mite bit out of place. Her hair though is fantastical!
The blossoms are wonderful, as is the little cricket thingy down in the left..
Background is great, not sure you need the writing, but it doesn't exactly detract ;-)

This is just splendid Vector Art..... U know I'm always a fan of your work, and I always get speechless whenever I see your art work. I think this one is one of my favorite ones..^^ Like I said, you really should start building up your portfolio of your art work. I think big companies will kill to hire you. I'm no kidding. I just know it when I see quality work like yours Harry.

this piece is beautiful , you did a good job , the colors , the shades , the detail on the female , the whole picture is good , i really like how the female looks though , good detail , keep up the good work

The arm is pretty, ehm, weird looking and then the shadows of the chinese writings are different. Other than that, its superb :)
